This is interesting, kind of limited by who tweets and English for now, but still makes me curious how different countries feel about eating the same food. And what is popular on what day.

  • I’m all about these food infographics. Found here. I also love all those little tricks unique to each fruit for finding the best, most delicious one. Examples:
Watermelon - place ear near melon, knock and listen for the most hollow sound.
Pineapple - gently tug at the spikey leaves, if it comes loose without effort, that’s your winner.
Berries in a carton - give the carton a little shake, if the berries roll around freely you’re guaranteed a less smashed or spoiled bunch. 
Now that I think about it, for all I know these could be fruit legends from yonder but I swear that knocking method brought me an intensely sweet and flavourful watermelon last week.
